I have been selling some antenna intensifiers with discs like this one for the last few months. They were called RADAR antenna intensifiers, and I have the last one still for sale. They are about the wildest thing I have ever seen, and they give the car a \'Jetsons\' / \'retro-futurist\' / \'dieselpunk\' look that really can\'t be beaten......except by this. This is the one off my own antenna, and I wasn\'t going to sell it - ever. However, I need the money, and so here it is. It\'s not cheap but you will NEVER see anything else like it, and I don\'t want to sell it.I have never seen anything else like it in the 30 years I have been collecting accessories, and even the guy I got this and the Radars off only had this one of these.It really is staggeringly beautiful - the top and the bottom parts are neat little black catalin balls with brass threaded inserts, the post is an aluminum tube round a steel thread,sleeved with slightly bigger aluminum tube sectionsto separate the discs, but the best bit of all the the absolutely beautiful red swirly catalin discs that make up most of the intensifier. I took the item to bits and photographed each disc separately so that you could see how beautiful they were, but there was too much sun glare and I haven\'t really done them justice. However, the other pictures, that I took later in the evening, do show it better - the beautiful swirly blood-red color of the discs is breathtaking, and the otherparts in polished aluminum set it off nicely.The RADAR intensifiers are nice, but this is on a whole different level - it really saddens me to sell it, but I have to part with things sooner or later.It is in lovely condition with the exception of a repaired hairline fracture in one of the discs. This has been exceptionally well done, back in 1993. I am extremely good at repairing bakelite and catalin, and if I didn\'t tell you which disc it was in, I think you wouldhave trouble finding it. So I willtell you - it\'s the last one, and you can just see the fracture in the pic. However, you really can\'t see it at all when the item is put back together, and I am only mentioning it because if you are going to spend a lot of money on my item, I want you to know what you are getting.Please view my detailed photos very carefully, and sorry that the ones taken in the sun aren\'t very good. I wait all yearfor some nice weather with good sunshine for taking photos - and then there\'s too much of it!
