Thisis a reproduction of a water bag/bucket that could have been used during theLewis and Clark expedition.

Soldas a reproduction, and purchased during the 2004-2006 celebration.

Madeof waxed canvas or burlap. Handle is handstitched and nailed in place. Twine onthe base helps support the weight of the water.

Thisis an ingenious design--both functional and beautiful.

Madein V. Biebuyck Merville Armee. I believe this is made in France. When I Googlethe name, it comes up, but it is all in French. Or the original item was madein France, and they are copying that name as part of the reproduction.

PLEASENOTE: THIS IS NOT WATERPROOF.

Infact it leaks a great deal, but it can be used to hold and carry a good deal ofwater. You would only want to use this outside, on a camping trip or historicalreenactments.
