Brassard & ID
These are excellent reproductions of the brassard (arm band) and matching identification card issued to medics during WWII. As detailed in the Combat Medic websites operated by Dave Steinert and Alain under the Geneva Convention and Rules of Land Warfare, each noncombatant medic was issued an arm band or brassard with the Red Cross on it (worn on the left arm) and an identification card identifying him as such. The brassard was marked with a distinctive serial number which matched the serial number of the corresponding ID card. This was intended to prevent combatant personnel from passing themselves off as noncombant medic\'s in the event of capture. These reproductions faithfully follow the originals andhave the appropriate stampings and matchingserial numbers(see images below). The ID card is blank and is ready for the insertion of a period-like photo and typed information for the ultimate touch for medic re-enactor. The buyer will have a five-day right of inspection and return privilege.
