Wonderful vintage Rex Fifth Avenue sterling silver compact! This beautiful large compact measures over 4\" in diameter, and weighs approximately 155 grams! It features a beautifully embossed swirled floral border on the front, and engraved pattern on the back. The compact features a spring lock on the front edge, and full size mirror inside the lid that still features the blue and silver \"Sterling Silver Rex\" foiled sticker, and the \"5thRexAve PAT APD FOR\" etching on the mirror. The compact also includes it\'s original puff and sifter, and the Rex name, though worn is still legible on the ribbon. Marked \"Sterling\" on the side next to the hinge. Gorgeous, even vintage patina could be polished if desired, but I think it looks beautiful! Exact compact was features in a 1946 Mademoiselle ad campaign; shown above in the models hand. Truly a gorgeous piece, guaranteed to make a beautiful addition to any collection!
