Howard Clinton Tibbitts (1863-1937) was a San Francisco based photographer who spent most of his career working for the Southern Pacific Railroad. He documented the American West, Canada, and Mexico to help promote passenger service. His work was showcased in the railroad\'s Sunset Magazine starting in 1898.
