Here is a very nice Rookwood Pottery architectural Faience tile with a design of 3 geese in a landscape with trees in relief and a good arts & crafts composition. Decorated with green and blue matte glazes with white geese and good contrast. It measures 6 by 6 inches and about 5/8 of a inch thick. Marked on the back with a die-stamped RP 416, 3207Y, and G527. It is in good condition with minor corner and edge chips which would be covered if framed, but no cracks, or repairs. There is a tiny tan spot in the blue glaze at the top of the sky and a narrow pit along one tree. A good example of Rookwood\'sarchitectural tileproduction.
