Up for sale is this very collectable Rookwood vase marked on the base in Roman numerals XLV making the production year 1945. It also has the Rookwood flame mark and shape number 6147 impressed in the base. Rookwood Pottery was founded in 1880 in Cincinnati Ohio. Ohio is home to many historical pottery makers. Rookwood has the distinction of being the first manufacturing company in the United States founded by a female, Maria Longworth Nichols.

The offered vase dimensions are 6 3/4\" tall with a 3 1/8\" rim and base. It is in excellent condition free from chips, cracks, and scratches.

The exterior design has panels that include flowers, leaves, wavy lines and dots. A very fun whimsical design in a cream gloss glaze. Perfect for the collector!
