Royal Crown DerbyDolphin PaperweightDate Cypher L (1987)The Royal Crown Derby Dolphin Paperweight was Modelled by Brian Jefferson and Decorated by June Branscombe and it measures 9.5cm high. It was introduced in 1987 and withdrawn in 1993.
This Paperweight is 1st Quality and in Excellent Condition with no chips, scratches or restoration. It has the all-important Gold Stopper, the Red Royal Crown Derby Backstamp and its Original Box and it is dated for the year this edition was launched - 1987.
It is beautifully decorated in the traditional Royal Crown Derby palette of cobalt blue with an uncomplicated hand-applied 22 ct Gold pattern of bubbles and waves on its back and has a plain white belly. The Dolphin rests on a wave-fashioned base of pale blue and gold. This is a charming piece of Royal Crown Derby.
