Both pieces are clearly marked on the bottom with a Royal Derby Mark attributed to C. 1952 - 1975.
Birds of Paradise and Peacocks with long trailing feathers adorn thisdramatic straight, traditionally shaped fine bone china Coffee cup & saucer with scalloped rim hand decorated with 22 carat Gold.
It is perfectly sized for a morning cup of expresso or after dinner drink.
The original design was taken from an embroidered cushion fashioned by a member of the Royal Academy of Needlework. Adapted from an embroidery pattern byAves painter Albert Gregory.
Measurement approximately: Cup: 2 1/4\" high x 2 1/4\" in diameter; Saucer measures about 4 3/4\" in diameter
