The Coo-ee is a tribute to the Coo-ee enlistment marches that were a feature in Australia around the time of the first war and was conceptualised to coincide in 2015 being the 100 year centenary of the Anzacs. Roundabout Antiques are very proud of this design, as the piece was suggested by us to Royal Doulton Australia as we quite regularly stay at the Coo-ee Motel in Gilgandra, New South Wales. We had seen the Coo-ee signs on the approach to town, and one night our interest was “piqued” in the Coo-ee story. We enjoyed reading the history of the town, march and tie in with the First War.
