Wonderful vintage piece of series ware by Royal Doulton. Numbered D2312 on the back and signed on the front (looks like \"None\") by the artist.
From the Isaac Walton Ware series probably early 1900s
Great plate with images of Fishermen on the front. The captions on the plate read \"Friend, who is more welcome to my dish than to my angle was my fish\" and \"O the Gallant Fisher\'s life it is the best of any\"
The design features green bare trees against yellow and white, and the centre is cream colored.
The plate does have some crazing - that\'s to be expected in an item of this age (over 100 years old). However, there are no visible chips or cracks and aside from the crazing this is in great condition.
