Fabulous Whisky Flask, produced by RoyalDoulton, \"Bonnie Prince Charlie\" fromtheir Kingsware collection.

The Kingsware decoration technique wascreated by the legendary Charles Noke in the late 1890\'s. Collectors enjoyedthe variations in rich colours that occur in the production. Kingsware becameone of Doulton\'s most lucrative collections, when Charles Noke was commissionedto design whisky flasks for famous distillers, as in this case, Dewar\'s ofPerth, Scotland. Noke created flask designs featuring Dickens characters andfamous Scottish subjects.

Bonnie Prince Charlie / The Young Pretender (1720 - 1788),was the 2nd Jacobite pretender to the thrones of England, Scotland, Ireland and France, from the death of his father in 1766.His insurrection to restorehis family to the throne of Great Britain ended in defeat at the Battle of Culloden.

This flask portrays Bonnie Prince Charlie in full Scottish regalia, enjoying \"a wee dram\". \"Bonnie Prince Charlie\" and\"Dewar\'s Whisky\" in white lettering on eitherside of the flask, which is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks orcrazing. The flask measures 7\"/18cms high.
