Royal Doulton Lambeth Silicon Mosaic Large Presitge Vase 1880s Eliza Simmance A:

It is manufactured in Silicon ware with a high fired stoneware body and has an unusual applied Mosaic stylised relief design and incised decoration. Stamps to the base would indicate manufacture between 1881 and 1890 and the artist mark for Eliza Simmance and also decorator mark for Mary Lilley together with further artist and decorator marks. It is considered to be a large and impressive piece of prestige type status. The numeral 546 to the base I believe indicates the vase shape number.

The item is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. Mentioned for accuracy are some indent type marks towards the base as shown ringed but these appear to have occurred at original throwing and firing of the vase showing the hand made nature of the piece. Please see numerous photos for confirmation af condition and colouring.Please note I will be listing a matching example of this vase at the same time. So if a pair is required then we will be able to combine to save on postage costs.

Size - 23.5cm (9.25 inches) high and approx 23cm (9 inches) at widest.

Stamped to the base with various Doulton Silicon Lambeth markings (as shown in the attached photograph for you reference).
