Rare estate find from former Royal Doulton sales manager!

The Royal Doulton Archives Bird of Paradise Flambe Vase was a limited edition of 150 and this is number 11. Displayed in the home of a former Royal Doulton sales manager since issuance in 1999, this beautifully colored hand crafted vase is in EXCELLENT condition, as new. No cracks, crazing or repairs are present on inspection. The vase measures 11\" tall, with a 6\" diameter around the center. The style has a lovely symmetry, with a 4\" diameter base and 2\" neck. Please note, the box and certificate are missing from this item. The vase is hand numbered on the bottom as number 11 of 150. Additionally it is marked BA2 for Burslem Artwares, the prestige line of Royal Doulton ceramics created in the 1990s.

This particular Bird of Paradise vase has an extraordinary glaze, with deep reds spatter shading to orange and accents of yellow. The bird is lined in black, with rich blue shading to gray on the body to complete the design. Please see our photos for the unparalleled craftsmanship with which this glaze was created. was handmade by artists in the UK and no two vases are identical.
