The character represented is The Clairvoyant \"Madame Crystal\". The jug was designed by William K. Harper for the Doultonville Collection and was issued from 1984 to 1989 then retired.
Some of the most popular stoneware toby jugs were designed by Harry Simeon. In 1894, Harry Simeon won a scholarship to The Royal College of Art at South Kensington. He joined Doulton at Lambeth in 1896 and began working on stoneware bibelots and garden sculptures. By 1924, Harry Simeon was modeling a range of slip cast tobies based on the traditional toby jug style but with his own fresh, original interpretation. This new range became an instant success and today pieces modeled by Harry Simeon are sought after by collectors from around the world.

We reserve the right to ship items using the most cost effective and safe carrier for the item puchased. Shipping costs for international buyers do not include taxes and custom fees. These fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer. We will not reduce the value of an item or falsify any document shipped internationaly.
I sell mostly antique and collectible items. With all antiques and used collectible items they can be expected to have minor flaws such as scratches or dings. I do my best to describe any blemishes on items that I do not consider normal wear. If you are interested in any of the my pre owned items please ask all pertinent questions prior to buying. By doing so this will insure you will have no surprises when your item arrives. Please always expect used antique and collectible items to have some minor signs of wear.
Items being sold for parts or restoration have in many cases not been tested. I cannot guarantee funtionality of these items. If I am able to test an item this will be noted in the listing. There are no returns on items being sold for parts or restoration.
Items being sold as new may sometimes be missing the original box and or paperwork. This is in most cases due to the item having been a store display. In this case it will be noted in the listing. Otherwise if the item states new it will be in the original box with all corresponding paperwork.
Payment is expected within 3 days of the listing being completed. Our system will automatically file non-paying buyer notification for all items not paid in a timely manner. At this point I reserve the right to relist the item or offer it to the second highest buyer.
I reserve the right to ship items in the most cost effective and safe mannor possible. I try to keep my shipping cost down for my buyers and in most cases the amount paid does not cover the cost of shipping and materials. Tracking numbers will be uploaded to and unless we have an unforeseen problem your item should ship within one business day after the sale. This does not include weekends.
