This item is a highly decorative large oval fruit bowl made by Royal Doulton in the Leeds shape, from the rare and highly collectable Gnomes or Munchkins series. The decoration is scene 1, Tree trunk with six gnomes peeping out from roots. This series was introduced in 1927 and withdrawn in 1950, this piece has an impressed date mark for either 1936 or 38, it is therefore a very early example. Condition Report
Excellent previously owned condition, there are no chips or cracks and nor is there any evidence of crazing or restoration. The decoration is in excellent order, being very bright and vibrant, in addition the brown rim colour shows no indication of rubbing.
Dimensions
The bowl has a base measuring 5.75\" x 3.5\"/14.5cm x 9cm, the top measures 10.5\" x 8\"/27cm x 20cm and it stands 2\"/5cm high. The unpacked weight of this item is 578g.Postage/Shipping
