Rural England was a populartheme with Royal Doulton andover 20 different seriesweredesigned fortea sets, bowls, plates, vases etc in varying shapes and sizes.

Thisrare collectablebowl has a quatrefoilshape alsoknown asanArnhem Trayshape. It ispart ofthe \'PloughmanSeries Ware\' and featuresthe \'Ploughman adjusting his Plough\'. There are eight different scenesin this particularseries which was first manufactured in 1915 and eventually withdrawn in the 1940\'s. No known artist has been recorded.

Regarding the condition of the bowl,someteeny dark spots and the odd touch of age related wear to the pattern. There a couple of very small grazes to the rim at the back (see enlarged pics) but they are not seen from the front and do not detact from the overall excellent vintage condition of theitem. There is nodiscolouration,fractures or crazingand the colour and patternis also still very good.
