The best feature of these older toby jugs is that they were hand painted with a much “softer” touch and exquisite detail rather than the somewhat harsher coloring and more severe detailing found on the more modern pieces. As can be seen, the base is clearly marked with the famous Royal Doulton stamp and the name Sairey Gamp. Her umbrella serves as the handle. Excellent condition with no chips, no cracks and no repairs.
