Tonight I\'m happy to offer, from a recently purchased estate, Royal Doulton, Early 1940\'s - \"Polly Peachum\"- Miniature 2.25\" Figurine.
VERY RARE - M21 - L. Harradine - AS FOUND CONDITION! - !
This graceful and elegant figurine is in very good but AS FOUND condition, there is damage to the neck of the figurine but it appears to be a clean break and can be restored if desired.
Designed as a 2.25\" figurine of a young lady in a shaded pink frock and ribbon trimmed mob cap - Polly Peachum from the Beggar\'s Opera. The figurine is in very good but AS FOUND condition with only the above mentioned damage.
The figurine was designed by L. Harradine and in production from 1932 to 1945.
I would safely guess that the figurine dates from the early 1940\'s.The figurine is marked on the bottom with the familiar Royal Doulton mark, Made in England, the number, M21, the name of the figurine \"Polly Peachum\" and a small number 14 which indicates 1941 as the year of production.
Royal Doulton has always been known for fine quality porcelains and this delightful and enchanting example will not disappoint even the most discerning collector.
