This is a Glorious Whieldon Glaze FRIAR Shape TEAPOT in the MONKS IN THE CELLAR series ware pattern.

This was designed by the great C J NOKE and his signature is on the side as shown in the photo.

There are NO CHIPS OR CRACKS on this piece and it is in excellent shape in spite of its age, This pattern was only made from 1906 to 1930.

For some reason the photos keep coming up showing the inside as being whiter than it truly is. The tan shade seen in the outside photos is also the way the inside is colored as well. I have taken several shots and they all turn out too white. So please be mindful of that fact.

Looking into the inside of the pot is closer to the real color. The base is more tan than the photo shows.

The TEAPOT SHOWS SCENE 6.--- Monk with hands on hips.... and the reverse side shows the inside of the cellar.

It stands 6 ins tall with the lid on and is 9 ins from spout to outer handle.
