This listing is for an adorableRoyal Worcesterporcelain Sailor boy figural vase, # RW1129. The young boy is dressed as a Sailor and is standing in front of a tree stump vase. The young boy has flesh colored face with finely painted details and has brown curly hair. Marked with incised Royal Worcester trademark stamp and \"Y5, 1129\". Also marked with the purple Royal Worcester trademark stamp with \"Y\" below which dates the piece to 1887, the English Registry stamp \"Rd. No. 41795\" which indicates date of 1886 and shape number \"1129\". The figurine is also incised \"J. Hadley\" for artist James Hadley who worked at Royal Worcester from 1870-1906 and was known for his figures and figurines.

Measures 9 3/4\" high with the base measuring approximately 4 3/4\" in diameter (slightly off-round). Weighs 1.6 pounds.

The figurine is in very good Estate condition for its age. There is a thin rubbed area on the back rim of his hat and another on one edge of the front collar flap that are minor flaws that have been touched up with gold leaf paint. There is also a small rough spot on the top of the figure\'s nose and a faint scratch in the fold of his trousers that has slightly darkened. Each of these minor flaws are barely noticeable except on close inspection and are mentioned for accuracy. No other chips, cracks or repairs.
