Downsizing my Russian silver collection:
This item was purchased from an antiques dealer at Brimfield several years ago.
This is very nice Russian silver and enamel two part egg that can be used for various purposes. Please check all of the pictures for details and condition. There are some areas of enamel loss and \"misses\". It is hallmarked on both pieces and the inside has a gold wash. I did not want to affect this finish so I did not polish. Looks like this item was made between 1908 and 1917 in Moscow. Possible maker? M. Perchin? or Mikhail Dmitriyeich Laramonov (Postnikova Loeseva 2678). I have to get the exact dimensions but estimated at about 3\" long by 2.5 inches in diameter and just over 2 troy ounces in weight.
