Sculpted, Faceted and Etched Ruby Glass. Sculpted SilverHandle With Floral Decor.Hallmarks: St.Petersburg city logo, silver 84, makers initials I.D.L.The maker (I.D.L.) - Lindquist Johann Diedrich (1816-1853)was a mastersilversmithwho arrived in Russia in 1832,and initially studied with H.A. Long.
This is a very rare ruby glass chalice from the mid 1800\'s.As you can see it\'s a solid mineral ruby glass. This mineralglass has a solid gold mixed in to achieve the color.
The glass has a light hairline scratch and shows normal wearmarkings consistent with age and use.
This Glass has been in the same family since the 1962,it waspurchased in St. Petersburg Russia.
