It is made of the most beautiful 14K rose gold - very fine!!!! It is in a heart shape. The front is set with pearlsset in star motif settings!! The reverse is unadorned. The locket is marked with the 56 for Russian 14K gold as well as maker\'s marks which I cannot make out. Truly a magnificent jewel. We have just returned from Scandinavia and France with many wonderful jewels! Please take a look and follow our upcoming sales! The reverse is a beautiful simple gold back. The locket opens and closes securely. It has the original inserts. The quality of the workmanship is the very very best, with gorgeous colors, gemsand wonderful composition.The jewel is in excellentcondition. The reverse has a few dents which does not detract from the piece in any way in my opinion, but I wanted to mention it. The Heart itself is 37 by 29 mm. With the bales it is 42 mm (1 5/8\") tall.
