This is a beautiful lacquered trinket box, with what appears to be a Russian scene on the front.It couldbe used for jewelry as well. The fronthas a detailed and gorgeous scene of a village, with horse-drawn carriages,buildings, and people. The outside ofthe box has what appears to be handpainted gilt designs.

The box has some light superficial scratches and some small scuffing imperfections, especially along the side with the hinge, but overall, it is in nicecondition and quite the display piece!

It measures about 4” x5.5” and 1.5” deep. Hinged top opens toa red-colored inside. There is a feltpouch inside.

This could possibly bemade of paper machete, but I am not certain.

The bottom has 4 slightlyelevated feet.
