SCARCE ANTIQUE VICTORIAN DOULTON BURSLEM LARGE FOOTED BOWL, GOOD AGED CONDITION

A beautiful large fine earthenware Doulton Burslem footed bowl, wonderful colours, possibly a scarce test pattern piece

This huge bowl measures 12 inches across and approx 7 inches deep, weighs 2290 grams

To the base edge is the Doulton Burslem England Gloire De Dijon stamp and a registered number 3078**** difficult to read the complete number

Dating to late Victorian, with beautiful colours and detail

There are some factory flaws, some gold gilt on the sides, an area where the glaze is recessed and some age browning marks inside the rim as shown

There are some small black dotted factory flaws to the rim and very small chips as shown, a few to the base rim

A scarce example, possibly a test pattern piece, I cannot find a similar example and style

When the edge is tapped the bowl emits a beautiful bell sound and has no cracks, a surface short factory hairline under the base
