Rare Original Z.R.III (LZ126) Zeppelin Airship Crew Member Badge Insignia Pin Incredible estate find, this 100% original badge was recently discovered in a collection of German aviation badges and pins in New England. Our research shows that this may be one of the early types of badges made for the early crew of the Z.R.III zeppelin airship somewhere around 1924-1925, after it was transferred to US from Germany as a part of war reparations from WWI.
Great original pin which was well preserved for years in a private collection in very good condition, measures approx 2\"x1-1/2\", shows some wear around the golden edges. It is made as a three piece construction: metal pin back, golden frame and a fabric with sewed Z.R.III name and Zeppelin logo (please see pictures for complete details and condition).
