This is a rare antique badge from the Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E). It dates back to 1908. Note the circular celluloid bottom piece. At first glance it seems to be empty. But upon close inspection, one sees an almost Ghost-like image bearing a 1908 date on the bottom. Although this is due to age fading, the effect however, appears quite surreal and magical. The brass eagle has great details. It looks very realistic. The entire item measures approximately 4 inches high. It is in very good vintage condition with only some normal expected minor wear consistent with age (some minor spots on the celluloid piece). No serious problems. The back pin is intact. Ready to be worn. This item was made by the famous \"Whitehead & Hoag of New Jersey. It is as fine an item as any jewelry made by \"The Ames Sword Company”, “The M. C.
