These antique French fabric samples came to me with a recent attic clearance.

This was such a wonderful old treasure to unpack. I knew it would hold some treasure as it was a plump package from AU BON MARCHE in PARIS and was addressed to Chateau Chinon!
Dating from the late 1800s/early 1900s this parcel of fabric samples was sent out from Bon Marche in Paris to Madame Brossard at Chateau Chinon. The parcel has a stamp and wonderful old sepia ink lettering.
Inside are 10 wonderful black textile samples each one having gorgeous shop labels.
Each paper ticket that holds the samples has the store details printed on the back too.
Such wonderful samples could be re-used into any period project and those labels are simply divine!
