Fine Meiji Japanese Cloisonne enamel vase with Flowers and birds.

Technique/Provenance: Cloisonne, Japan.

Age: Meiji Period (1868 - 1912).

Size: The piece measures 14cm in height x 6cm in width.

Artist/signature: The piece is signed with an inscribed silver tablet reading \"Namikawa Yasuyuki\".

Condition: The piece has chipped andmissing enamel, mainly to the blue areas (so an easy repair) and also slightly to the top rim.

Comments: A fine quality Meiji Japanese Cloisonne vase, produced by the famous Namikawa Yasuyuki studios. The vase is decorated withbeautiful birds nestled in the branches of exquisite Wisteria vines, on a deep cobalt blue body. The decoration is applied using silver wires and fine coloured enamels. In perfect condition, a vase like thiswould be worth $40,000 - $50,000 USD. The vase comes with the wooden stand pictured.
