Red S Sewing Machine 110V US Voltage ER022989 This model of the 222K was manufactured in March 1960. It is the 110V model
and runs on North American electrical current.
Singer manufactured the aluminum body of the machine in their Kilbowie
plant in Clydebank Scotland and then shipped them to the St. John
Quebec factory where they were outfitted with the Canadian 110V motors
for the North American market.

The machine has excellent gold trim as seen in the photos.

There is evidence of use, rare use, visible only if the machine is held
and turned to catch reflected light. It is a gorgeous machine.
The black enamel has a brilliant, glossy shine. The machine has never
been stored in garages or the like, the inner workings are a testament
and proof of that. Included are:
All the attachments originally sold with the machine.
Singer Swiss zigzag attachment 160990 with the 5
cogs in perfect working order. It serves as an excellent
walking foot as well.
The embroidery hoop produced specifically for the
222K machine.
The original manual in very good condition.
The essential rare black cased Singer buttonholer.
6 original bobbins.
The original key.
Singer oil can with oil.
Singer fabric guide.
Singer needles.
The Red S screw driver set.

The foot pedal is complete and original to the
machine with long, flexible original wires. It has
been adjusted to sew at all speeds. It has the
Flex plug often seen on the Canadian Red S.
The white cotton pouch included protects the
machine\'s enamel finish from being damaged
by the plug prongs during storage. It was sewn on
this machine. The belt is excellent.
The rubber feet are new. The case is in excellent condition with no rust and
no musty odor, whatsoever.

Clearly this machine has been well cared for over
the years. It comes with the original set of keys.

Mechanically excellent, the machine is powered by
the 110V North American current motor. The motor
is strong, very fast and extremely quiet.
It\'s worth noting that the 222K was never produced
in the US but rather in Clydebank Scotland
and St. John\'s Quebec Canada. I have been collecting, servicing and adoring
this model of Singer for years and have taken
great care to insure that the machine is in perfect
running order. The tension, hook, belt, oil, and
lubrication and motor controller have all been serviced.

The motor brushes are like new.
