Up forsale isan old, vintage and adorable 17\" soft plush \"SMOKEY THE BEAR\" stuffed animal made by the IDEAL TOY CORP. in the 1950\'s. He is between 17\" and 17 1/2\" tall and weighs just under one pound. He is stuffed and covered in a reddish-brownplush fur-like material and his pants (which are sewn on to him) are made of a heavy blue cotton or denim. His face and snout are made of rubber or a rubber-like material such as latex.His eyes are inset stationary eyes that do not open and close. They are a glossy rootbeer color and are the shiny, pinwheel type of plastic eye. He is not jointed. He has a few little rubs on his brown cheeks, his tongue has lost most if its red paint, and the black on the tip of his nose has worn off. Aside from that he is in very good condition. I see no rips in the seams of his body and limbs, no holes, and no stains. His pants are a little faded on the backside, but the front is vivid blue. Paws are cream colored on the underside and show slight soiling. His stuffing is packed firmly and he has no bulges or areas of missing stuffing. His fur is pretty nice and clean and stil has a little luster to it.
He would make a great addition to your vintage 50\'s memorabilia collection or Smokey the Bear collection. .
