Description -SplendidVintagegood heavy gauge solid silver rectangular cigarette case with hinged lid and push button clasp, the cigarette case has a nice engine turned decoration on both sides, The interior is silver-gilt (Gold washed) and has the engraved inscription \"ARTHER J.FEARNLEY. APRIL 1950.\"
The cigarette case is fully hallmarked, with the anchor for Birmingham assay, the lion passant indicating 925 grade solid sterling silver, the date letter \"W\" for the year 1956 and the maker\'s mark \"W G LTD\".
Condition -Theretwo dents on the bottom and top front corners, there are no dinks, split, holes or repairs, the engine turned decoration is in good order with no rubbing, the hinge and clasp are in good working condition clicking the lid closed tightly but leaving a gap on the right corner, the interior silver-gilt is nice and bright, despite these dents this is a good quality cigarette case.
Dimensions & Weight -The cigarette case is 14cm wide x 8.5cm long, the weight is 219.8 grams.
