Original Antique 16\"

Early \"ALPHABET\" Model A-5

Bisque-Head Child/LADY Doll

By J.D. Kestner - Germany

- Kestner\'s 16\" cabinet Size - Actually Measures approx. 16\" from feet to top of pate/wig

- Bisque Head with Plaster Pate / Leather Body

- Lovely Brown Sleep Eyes

- Excellent Hand-Painted Face

- Beautiful outfit with undergarments, stockings, shoes & hat.

This is a beautiful bisque shoulder-head girl doll, with delicate hand painting and a childlike expression of wonder.

She is marked Made in Germany, and also marked with the letter \"A\" and numeral \"5\" -- indicating that she was made by Kestner, and is one of their early \"Alphabet Series\" dolls.

She has her lovely original pale blond wig. Her antique hairstyle was sewn in place. She was well cared for and in RARE condition. A real historic find! Her head, and leather body, are in amazing condition, her silk outfit is stunning and very old, with stockings and shoes that could very well be original to the doll. The skirt is slightly brighter than the top. Her stockings have 1 hole in the back, and shoes are very fragile. (See Condition Details below.)

This early Kestner has it all! She will be a perfect addition to your collection -- certain to be always the center of attention. In a word, she is simply beautiful.

Note: Props not included: DOLL STAND

Condition Details:

Here you have my best good-faith attempt to disclose all noteworthy issues. Keep in mind, though, that vintage/antique dolls always show their age -- (Don\'t we all!?) --so please expect that there will be something about this doll lot that\'s not perfect. It is not in brand-new condition. There will always be some minor indication of age, and it would be impossible to itemize every single pinhead-size stain on the outfit or hairline scratch on the body. Please expect that your vintage/antique doll will have these types of normal age-related conditions even if they are not mentioned below.

- The doll head and body are in EXTRAORDINARY antique condition.

- Her gorgeous face has no rubs or cracks. Original brown sleep eyes.- The bisque shoulder head is in good condition, with no cracks or chips.
shoulders and head.

- Her leather body is in very good condition. There are some normal rubs / paint loss to hands (SEE FINAL PHOTO) -- but no repairs.

- All pieces of the outfit are in amazing condition. Clothing and shoes are as old as the doll, though the hat is not as old as the doll.

As with all my listings (unless explicitly stated otherwise), this comes from a NON-smoking Environment.

Please SUPERSIZE all photos for a full picture of this lovely doll lot\'s condition.

Please Read! RETURN POLICY on Dolls:

It is with deep regret that -- after 14 years selling on , and with 100% positive response-- I\'ve had to changemy return policy on dolls to \"NO RETURNS, AND NO PARTIAL REFUNDS.\"

As often happens, it\'s the few bad apples out there who ruin it for the rest of us. These dishonest people will buy a doll, then try to improve or restore it ... not knowing what they\'re doing. And then, when they realize they\'ve ruined the doll, they return it saying it was defective. Or else they keep the doll and demand a \"partial refund\" based on the alleged defect -- which is another trending scam on .

I sell these dolls for a living, so ...My sincere apologies to you -- the honest majority of buyers --that I can no longer afford to accept doll returns. (Of course, shipping loss or damage is a different matter; that is fully covered by insurance.)

Still Not Sure?

Please don\'t hesitate to contact me.I\'ll gladly answer any questions you may have, so you can make an informed decision whether to purchase/offeron this item! What I Never Do:- My sale-style listings never have a hidden \"reserve\" price!- My shipping fees never get inflated to generate hidden profit!(If the shipping seems high on a particular item, please contact me,and I\'ll gladly explain why it costs that much to ship ...or if there\'s an error, I\'ll correct it!)
