Stunning Antique Georgian Silver Brooch…..

How this brooch must have twinkled in candle light.

This is one of the nicest Georgian brooches I have handled. It is beautifully hand made with a deep Bristol Blue glass backround that has been foiledunderneath to reflect the Royal Blue colour and then an intricate floral design in silver laid on top set with Antwerp or Dutch Rose cutMarcasite (three stones have been historically replaced - not unusual for a piece that is well over two hundred years old).

It really is stunningly beautiful when you look close up.
