STUNNING ANTIQUE GEORGIAN PERIOD GOLD SILVER DIAMOND ENAMEL CUPID PENDANT c1780:

A wonderfulantique solid15 carat gold (tests thereabouts) navette-shaped pendant; set with a row of tiny bright and glistening rose-cut diamonds surrounding a finely hand painted polychrome enamel miniature, depicting a young maidenpresenting Cupid with a floral wreath.

Wow - a terrific quality, beautifully painted early miniature...extremely collectable & wearable too!

CONDITION: Very, very good. Possibly originally part of a larger piece &converted in antiquity, possibly not. Slightest signs of enamel surface wear commensurate with age and use, tiny chip/loss to top and bottom - easily improved if desired, see pictures.

DATE/MARKS: Around 1780/1800. Not marked.

DIMENSIONS:31 x 17mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.

WEIGHT: Approx. 4.3grams.
