Description Areally beautiful large genuine English antique solid sterling silver novelty \"chick\" pin cushion by the silversmiths Sampson Mordan & Co inlovely condition and with full English silver hallmarks for Chester 1907.Superb quality example & direct from a private estate. Nicely detailed body of a hatching chick with interior weighting and padding. Has an oldgreen velvet covering which is still in great condition.With no personal added engraved monograms or initials.

Measurements Great size, measures approx 2 inches (50mm) in length (beak to tail), x 1.3 inches (33mm) wide and stands1.75 inches (45mm) in height.

Date Antique English solid sterling silver with a full set of silver hallmarks for Chester 1907(date letter \"G\"). Goodclear marks and also stamped with a date registration number \"Rd 475678\".MakerSilversmiths initials are \"S M & Co\", (Sampson Mordan & Co).ConditionLovelycondition, no splits or cracks, no solder repairs, and no nasty knocks or dents, has a few tiny age related surface dents and bruises, but really nothing much and a very nice example. Interior weighted base, allowing the chick to right itself againif knocked over. Padded green velvet cushion still in great condition too.
