Description A wonderful large heavy antique Victorian solid sterling silver "one pint" tankard of classic Georgian shape by the silversmiths Robert Pringle & Sons, in excellent condition, and with full English silver hallmarks for London 1897.Stunning quality silver tankard,with a large silver scrolled handleand beautifully all-over decorated with handsome "gothic" flower and scroll engraving with a fabulous large "gothic" entwined monogram in the cartouche. Hasa full one pint capacity.

Measurements Large size, measures approx4.5 inches (113mm) in height, and is3.65 inches (93mm) in diameter across the base, (excluding handle).
Date AntiqueVictorian solid sterling silver with a full set of English silver hallmarks for London 1897(date letter "b"). Excellent clear hallmark stamps.

Condition Excellent condition and ready to be used. No splits or cracks and no nasty knocks ordentseither, just a couple of tiny little shallow bruises on the handle, reallyhardly anythingand a particularly nice example.Very clean interior and superb gothic engraving. Nice and heavy too with a large one pint capacity.
