A stunning large heavy sterlingsilver entrée dish. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1920 with the maker’s marksbeing E&Co for Elkington and Co, regarded as one of the best English firms.It has been beautifully designed having gadroon edge borders and handles. It isin superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, just the odd faint mark. The insideis perfectly clean and usable. It has not been engraved with initials orcrests nor had any removed. It measures almost 11 inches (27.5cms) across fromhandle to handle by over 7.5 inches (19.2cms) wide by over 2.75 inches (7cms) talland weighs a heavy 1325 grams. A stunning top-quality example.
