Here we have a very unique and beautiful 1940\'s high ArT DecO vintage mens Helvetia dress wristwatch featuring a very cool two-tone mirrored dial design and a high quality movement in a solid 9K Dennison case. This watch does wind and will tick nicely for several hours, but is not keeping good time so could probably use a standard servicing to get it back keeping good time again. Sold as is without any timekeeping guarantees. The dial original dial is very cool with awesome Deco stylized numbers and a very interesting central circular minute track with gold/guilt mirrored details, signed Helvetia Shock Absorber with small seconds at 6:00. As you can see it does have some light surface marks, but these really are not very noticeable unless under magnification as in these pictures so the dial actually looks excellent on the wrist. The high Art Deco look is completed with those classic blue steel sword style hands. The tank style rectangular solid gold case measures a nice mens size at 22mm wide excluding the crown by 40mm lug tip to tip and has a nice lightly polished finish with a bit of rounding on the corners, but still looks awesome on the wrist. Comes on a brand new 18mm wide high quality Hirsh genuine leather strap with gold plated buckle. Inside the back is signed Dennison, Made In England, with the ALD case makers mark and correct 9K/.375 hallmarks. The movement and dial would have been imported into the UK, then cased by Dennison for final sale. The high quality movement is of excellent design, is in good cosmetic condition and has a very interesting triangular shape shock absorbing spring on the balance jewels. Fully signed Helvetia, 3 Adjustments, 15 Jewels, Swiss Made, Patent Shock Absorber. A very unique and stylish, high quality 1940\'s ArT DeCo solid gold dress watch in excellent overall cosmetic condition by a company that had a long and important connection with the now famous Omega brand.
