Description A superbrare English antiqueEdwardiansolid sterling silverdouble compartment \"envelope\" stamp case by the silversmith Albert Ernest Jenkins - (1902-1915) and with a full set of English silver hallmarks for Chester 1904.Excellentqualityoriginal 113 year old silver example, in lovely condition, attractive novelty envelope design, with a hinged lid and all-over decorated with beautiful engraved flowers, foliage and scroll-work and has 2 compartments for different value stamps. It is complete with its original silver hallmarked attachment ring and as a bonus there are no added personal engraved inscriptions in the cartouche. Comeswith a genuine antiquestamps, probably once used in India in times of the Raj.

MeasurementsMeasures approx. 1.75 inches (44mm)x 1.1 inches (28mm) and is 4mm deep.

Date English antique Edwardian solid sterling silver with a full set of English silver hallmarks forChester 1904(date letter \"D\"). Superb clear struck marks and there is a further hallmark on the lid.

Maker Silversmith initials \"A.E.J\", (Albert Ernest Jenkins).

ConditionReally lovely condition,with no splits or solder repairs, definitely no wear holes and no nasty knocks or dents, a very nice undamaged example. Beautifully decorated and the silver lid hinge opens and closes securely it is complete with its silver attachment ring. Comes with original antique stamps.
