Description -A solid sterling silver chamber stick, dated for 1808 and assay for London.A superb chamber stick which comes of rectangular form with a gadrooned rim to the base and top.Comes with a circular handle and a snuffer attached the handle.It has matching crest marks to the base and snuffer. With engraved initials to the base.The chamber stick is from the George III era and is 209 years old a lovely antique.Overall a lovely chamber stick which are hard to come by and would be a superb addition to a collection.
Silver weight 157 grams.
The condition is very good for its age.There is the odd small dent and ding to the chamber stick but nothing too bad just what you would expect with its age.The chamber stick may of had the odd small repair to the base but looks to have been done very well and is hardly to noticeable.The snuffer comes with no stamped sterling silver hallmarks so not 100% sure if original but this is very common for this period.The snuffer does come with the odd small dent and ding from use.The hallmarks to the underneath are lovely and clear. The makers mark is rubbed.Overall a wonderful Georgian chamber stick a splendid piece of history and would be a lovely addition to a collection.
The measurements are length 13.5 cm, width 9.5 cm and height 7 cm.
Any strange marks in the pictures are reflections not damage.
