This is a superb majolica fish figural lidded teapot ofwhich:

During our research we have been informed it certainly dates from the mid 19th century.

Dates about c1860s.

Of an english teapot with the figural fish decoration.

Decoration of a fish with its wonderful decorative scales and fins.

Spout for pouring with find decoration.

Curled tail handle.

Fitted lid with fin handle.

It has an overall height of about 6inches.

It has an overall length of about 11inches including handle and spout.

Max depth of about 5inches.

Condition: Considering the age, the overall condition is excellent and is not subject to any major blemishes.

A very minor niblbe to the edge of the spout.
