During our research we have been informed itcertainlydates from the mid 19th century.

Datesabout c1850s.

Pottery, ceramic.

Embossed text to base of: Uncle Tom & Eva.

Well coloured.

Eva & Tom are portrayed with eva sitting ion uncle toms lap.

A seated Uncle Tom blackamoor figure holding a book in his hand with:

a large yellow hat underneath.

Both in wonderful dress attire.

Mounted onto the decorative hollowed base.

It hasan overall height of about 8.25inches.

Max overall size of the hollowed base of about 5 x 3.25inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall conditionis very good and has been subject to:

early restoration underneath which continues to the rear.

Due to age: areas of fine crazing.

All as perpictures.
