This is a very fine old Chinese solid silver opium pot or box featuring a dog of foo or lion on the lid, a wooded scene featuring a monk and stag on the body as well as various Chinese symbols on body and lid. A Chinese friend tells me that the raised seal on the base reads “auspicious”. There is a maker’s mark impressed in the lid. Condition is very good for age. One small dent to lid and the lion dog has a small hole on his head. The pot measures 2.25 inches tall. Thank you for looking and please see my other items!
