These are a superb and an original pair of Staffordshire copper lustre & white seated spaniel dogs with the separate front legs of which:

during our research: we have been informed they datefrom the 19th century:

date aboutc1880s.

Slight difference in lustre colouring but not unusual but certainly a pair.

Wonderfulpair of Staffordshire copper lustre & white seated spaniel dogs with:

Superb colouring with the overall lustre & white colouring and facial decoration to both with:

the lustre chains, collars & locks.

A left and a right.

Pottery.

Wonderful overall portrayals.

Each has an overall height of about 8.5inches.

Hollowed bases with an overall sizes underneathof about 6.25 x 4inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition to both is excellent and both are without any major blemishes except:

both have been subject to over painting to the facial area with:

one has a chip to the front foot.

due to age: overall fine crazing.

All as perpictures.
