This is a superb pair of Staffordshire porcellaneous recumbent greyhound dogs mounted onmto the decorative bases of which:
During our research we have been informed they certainlydate from the mid 19th century.
Date about c1850s.
Porcellaneous.
A left and a right.
Recumbent greyhounds in the white with black detail.
Both portrayed with gilt collars.
Mounted onto the oval decorative hollow bases with the gilt decoration.
Each hasan overall height of about 1.5inches.
Max overall sizes of the hollow bases of about 4.25 x 3.25inches.
Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition to both is excellent both are not subject to:
any major blemishes except:
one has early restoration to the front legs of a greyhound.
