This isa superb pair of Staffordshire scottish male & female figurines with dogs ofwhich:

During our research we have been informed they certainlydate from the mid 19th century.

Date about c1860s.

Pottery.

Mounted onto the hollowed decorated bases with:

malehuntsman figure has a captured game bird to the base centrally.

Standing male & female scottish figurines.

Both in wonderful tartan dress attire with the intricate facial detailing.

Male in kilt with sporran and hanging hunting horn.

Both wearing plumed hats.

Male has a greyhound or similar to his side,

female, a seated black & white dog which she rests her hand on the side of his head.

Each hasan overall height of about 9.5inches.

Max overall size of the hollowed bases of about 3.5 x 2.75inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition to both is excellent and not subject to any major blemishes.

Due to age: areas of fine crazing.

All as perpictures.
