This is a superb pair of Staffordshire seated jackfield dogs with the separate front legs of which:
During our research we have been informed they certainlydate from the mid 19th century.
Date about c1860s.
Staffordshire, Englandorigin.
A left and a right.
A wonderful portrayal of the seated dogs with:
the separate front legs.
Superb facial detailing including the gilt.
Pottery with the jackfield black colouring.
Areas of gilt decoration with the collars, locks and chains.
Each has an overall height of about 9.75inches.
