These are a superb pair of Staffordshire seated spaniel dogs of which:

During our research we have been informed they certainlydate from the mid 19th century.

Date about c1860.

Russet red & white in colour.

Porcellaneous.

A superb pair of Staffordshire seated spaniel dogs with their wonderful portrayals.

A left & a right.

Each has an overall height of about 5inches.

Hollowed bases with overall sizes of about 3.5 x 1.75inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition to both is excellent with:

each having areas of loss of colour with:

one having a hairline to the front side. minor chip under the edge of the base with a firing crack from time of manufacture

Other has a short and fine hairline to the front centrally.

Due to age: both are subject to overall fine crazing.

All as perpictures.
